How much effective microneedling and PRP combo treatment?
We have seen that microneedling is the process of puncturing the upper layer of skin in order to facilitate the production of new collagen cell and elastin while the PRP treatment is the process of injecting a small amount of plasma which is rich in platelets in the epidermis.
The combined affect is safe and very effective in removing different skin issues without any hazards. The platelet rich plasma therapy is also known as “vampire lift” offers excellent results.
Cellular regeneration and collagen production is the ultimate goal from this treatment of microneedling. In this process a small amount of blood is taken and the blood red cell is separated from plasma containing high count of platelets.
Then it is injected into the epidermis for production of collagen and elastin leaving the skin fresh, smooth and glowing.
Most effective treatment for microneedling:
- Improves wrinkles and fine lines, minimize large pores, and helps skin tightening
- It stimulates collagen and elastin production that promote skin rejuvenation.
- It improves surgical, accidental injury.
- It is very much effective in hyperpigmentation.
- This can also improve stretch marks.
What to avoid after microneedling?
- Always avoid retinoids and auto-immune disease for 24 hours before treatments.
- Avoid sun exposure in the affected area before 24 hours of treatment.
- Avoid this treatment if it has occurred within 6 months with accutane.

A numbing cream is used before the treatment and so there less chance of pain and discomfort though the most sensitive area is the forehead and upper lip. The only minor side effects are the redness, swelling or bruising that last for maximum one day.
Then the skin turns to normal position. Sun exposure is completely restricted after the treatment. You can see the best result after 4-6 treatments and the gap between the each should be 4-6 weeks.
There is a continuous improvements overtime and the complextion will be bright more and more over time. The choice of microneedling device is very important while you can decide why derma pen is best for microneedling?
Can I do microneedling at home?
Microneedling or dermaroller therapy in home use is different than that of physicians office. The needles for home use is typically less than 1mm while in surgical procedure the size varies from 1-3 mm and their purpose is clear.
The home micrneedling is done to target the penetration of skincare products into the epidermis only. It is free from pain and no numbing cream is needed.
In this process of treatments the ingredients of skincare products such as retinol, vitamin C serum reach at depth of skin and the absorption capacity of skin is increased.
Conversely the surgical dermaroller is used to treat the wide variety of skin issues. These include wrinkles on face, acne scars, melasma, hyperpigmentation and so on.
