We rarely think about the cleaning tools that are being used throughout the year in our home. The basic tools are simple, inexpensive and barely changed in our lifetime.

1. The Broom: Every house should have a broom. It is a handy tool very easy to use and swipe. There are several types of brooms each having specific purpose. Fiber brooms are very useful for hard surfaces like wood, tiles, and marbles and straw brooms are suitable for outside spaces. It is noted that the brooms should be stored in upside down so that the fibers or straws are not fallen.
2. The Mop: A few years ago we used to clean our floor by our hands and knees. But ever since this mop has been invented the house cleaning became easier. 3. The Rag: Cleaning rags are a part of my cleaning routine. It is more environmentally friendly when you use the right one. There are kitchen rags and bathroom rags. The kitchen rags are used in place of paper towels. I love them keeping on the counter because they are handy.

   I use one or two in a day for counter and kitchen table. I use microfiber cloths for bathrooms. I need to use 2 or 3 bathroom rags for each bathroom in a day one for toile and one for bath tub. I toss all the rags in a blue bucket until it is full. At the end of the week all these are dumped in washing machine.

4. The Rubber Glove: When you will be wearing hand rubber gloves you can easily protect your skin from dirt and chemicals and that’s most important in safety purpose. Some chores can’t be done without rubber gloves. Also our hands would suffer without this.

   Rinse the outside of rubber gloves after every use. Take a few minutes after each chore to rinse it thoroughly. You can do this while you are using it also. Protect your gloves during storage from heat and sunlight. It is better to use separate gloves fro kitchen and bathroom.

5. The vacuum cleaner: A vacuum cleaner is a household appliance for cleaning floors, carpets, upholstery by suction – also called a vacuum sweeper. The simplest way to explain a vacuum is just like a straw. When you sip a cup of drink through a straw it is by suction and the same thing in case of vacuum cleaner.

   A vacuum cleaner uses an electric motor that spins a fan, sucking in air and any small particles are caught up. The vacuum cleaner is equipped with filters. There are many different types of vacuum cleaner but all of them work on the same principle.

6. The Scrub Brush: The scrub brush is more strong than a sponge or dishcloth when there is a tricky cleaning job in kitchen. You can easily use this to clean wooden, tiles or marble floors. A scrub brush with a little dish soap and hot water to cut grease can be rightly used.

   It is found very clean looked instead of all around dirty like a sponge. I was using one brush on the floor and one brush on the countertop, where the vacuum gets dirt out of the cracks of my floor.

7. The Microfiber Cloth: If you use micro fiber cloth for cleaning you must admit that it is superior to old rags or paper towel. Actually microfiber cloth is made of very small fibers. Microfibers are smaller than silk strand.

   Yhey make the fibers in cotton cleaning cloths. Microfibers can be easily and effectively used for cleaning housekeeping. Cloths that are not made from microfibers tend to push dirt around the surface that can hook dust, dirt and bacteria. Many viruses are too small but microfibers can catch them easily.

   That is why you can easily clean many surfaces without ant other ingredient except water. In addition to these microfibers has greater absorption capacity due to its porous nature. It is very important to maintain it properly otherwise you can’t get the best result.
